Kid You'll Move Mountains

Hailing from the rural Illinois suburbs, Kid, You’ll Move Mountains, is a vehicle assembled from parts of the now-defunct indie-pop band, Troubled Hubble, of which brothers Nate and Andrew Lanthrum were the rhythm section. The Lanthrum brothers are now collaborating with fellow Midwestern musicians on KYMM:  guitarist Corey Wills, of Chicago’s Inspector Owl; guitarist and vocalist Jim Hanke, of Milwaukee’s El Oso; and classically trained pianist and vocalist Nina Lanthrum.

Layering staccato drumming, driving basslines and fuzzy guitar with matter-of-fact-delivery vocal layerings and harmonies, plus soaring all-hands-on-deck crescendos, KYMM creates complicated but approachable soundscapes.

Produced by ex-Troubled Hubble guitarist Josh Miller, the group’s album, Loomings, is available on Amazon.
