Lollapalooza 2010 lineup, on The UnCool, www.the-uncool.comThe 2010 Lollapalooza lineup has been announced*.

Headliners:

  • Soundgarden
  • Green Day
  • Lady Gaga
  • Arcade Fire
  • The Strokes
  • Phoenix

It’s a top-heavy lineup, with two veterans and a diva. I’m pretty excited about Arcade Fire being in the mix. The UnCool will continue to keep an eye on how the lineup is scheduled, as we’re sure some of you will have the annual Sophie’s Choice decisions about who to catch and who to miss.

Everyone Else:

While it’s good to finally see the confirmed headliners, we’re pretty interested in a lot of bands in the mid-range of the Lolla lineup. We’re thrilled to see Gogol Bordello in the lineup again and The National is always on Greg’s list. And we may catch Cut Copy, since we missed them at Pitchfork Fest when they had trouble with their flight. Jamie Lidell is always a good live show. Frightened Rabbit is, of course, Frightened Rabbit. We recently caught The Big Pink at Metro, and they could be fun to catch again.

Depending on how the days are scheduled, below is a sampling of some of the bands on our early tentative list:

We will keep you updated on how the festival shapes up. Please let us know if there’s anything on the lineup that you’d like to hear more about before festival season.

Let us know your top 5 to 10 MUST-SEE bands from this lineup:
